Part 2
>> THE INTERVIEW ...Continued
Do you have any stories/memories about North Face that you would like to share?
SERENE INSANITY:
I think most of us have had one of those days when your out somewhere and one guy is acting like a cocky fuck because he has a steep or related outfit on. Then, you just walk in and shut him down u know.
CYPHA:
I remember niggas from Hate Mobb doing a number on EMS on some Million Man Rush shit racking mad mountains with matching bibs. Just running out the store mad deep and rushing the security guard. The Lo Lifes would be proud on some TNF shit.
How do you feel about the products that North Face are manufacturing today?
SERENE INSANITY:
I think that 90% of North Faces Merchandise is garbage. The only thing that has even raised an eyebrow in my mind is the Met 5 series. Too bad they don't have any intention on making gloves for it. That would be a must buy.
CYPHA:
Trash! But the new Free Thinker jacket may have some potential.
Personally, I feel that people lose grasp of what North Face products are originally made for (which is skiing, snowboarding, climbing, etc..) When their items become a fashion statement, you can't blame North Face for taking advantage of that market. All these new steep techs are targeted to urban kids who just jump on the bandwagon and buy what everyone else is wearing. How do you feel about this?
SERENE INSANITY:
I have to agree. I think that business is business and North Face saw a trend and tried to make a buck. I don't hate them at all for it. I know everyone was like this is gonna make mine less valuable or now everyone is going to have one, but I know the difference between my jackets and the current ones and I just don't really care. New kids want to buy them, then that's great. I think we have all at some point been a follower in a trend.
CYPHA:
Actually, I feel like what they have done is wrong. The truth is, even if they kept it real and reproduced these jackets at the same quality with the same $550 price, niggas would still pay for it. The hype was there already. All they had to do was put them out and they would have sold the same units rather than using cheap materials to sell it at a cheaper price.
What's something that you miss the most from the 90's? What comes to mind when you think of the 90's? (Anything at all)
SERENE INSANITY:
Biggest thing that I miss from the 90's, I'd have to say, is some old school hip hop and rap (Not that 90's is really old school) Everything now is so recycled and boring. I'll listen to Gangstarr or Puba any day over the radio's hour on the hour repeats.
CYPHA:
Niggas crew deep rockin' and rackin'.
* Just one model of the RTG vest...?

Anything else you would like to get off your chest? Feel free to vent.
SERENE INSANITY:
Yeah, there's one thing that gets me about this whole steep tech, North Face thing. Everyone just needs to keep it humble. Talking shit about what you have, etc Man listen, if you have it, the odds that someone else has it are practically guaranteed. Be easy, we should enjoy trading info and showing pictures. Tossing up a picture with 10-15 jackets and saying "I'm the man," "you cant fuck with me," etc... Come on, thats a joke. I don't even send pictures of stuff anymore because I don't want to be involved in that type of shit. Toss your pics up, yeah, but keep it humble. People starting BS and wasting room on message boards with nonsense just isn't fair or interesting to anyone.
CYPHA:
The only shit I hate is when niggas get gassed like they know everything. I've been around for a minute and even I don't know everything. But other than that if you doing ya' thang, go for it.
