Rack, it is obvious to see that much has changed in the lo' game since the days of the originals. Prices, people collecting, reasons for collecting, etc... How do you feel about these different changes that are going on today?

RACK-LO: Yo, straight up and down I feel like a lot of these new Lo heads are not reppin the culture, the institution the right way. They must have it all twisted. Do the math, study your Lo history and find out what this Lo movement is really about. Find out who the owners are, the founders, the originators, the inventors, the innovators, the architects, the movers and shakers and the legends. This Lo shit didn’t start yesterday. A lot of these dudes are running around dumb, deaf and blind and hiding and shit. First of all, if you claim you have a tremendous Lo collection don’t be scared to floss and flam your shit in the public. I don’t give a fuck what your impression of a certain crew is. Where’s your mother fucking heart at? Stand your ground! Step the fuck up and be accounted for. Rep what you rep because before you can wear Lo you have to know how to hold your own. And that aint on no Lo shit, that’s throughout life. So what you have a Lo collection and post up pictures on the internet. Ya’ll hiding behind pseudo names in the forum. Nigga’s really don’t even know if most of ya’ll dudes exist. How are you going to rep this shit in cyberspace? Its starts in the physical first. First you have to show heads that you’re official and that you know this shit for real. You just can’t be a latch on kid trying to claim Lo-Life’s to boost up your image or rep. If you rock with us, this shit is from the heart. So being an internet Lo freak, that shit don’t hold no weight. And you would never be seen as an official head doing shit like that. A lot of street dudes have paved the way and paid a hefty price for all of you to even be able to rock Lo and all those other name brands as well. Other names like North Face, Benetton, Gucci, Spyder, Gortex, Louis Vutton and the list goes on - Lo-Life’s did it all first. So let me school ya’ll for a second. This Lo movement officially started in 1988. And even before 1988, the movement was in development. Have ya’ll ever heard of Ralphies Kids or USA (United Shoplifters Association), that’s the foundation right there. Those are basically the two crews that Rack-Lo united as Lo-Life’s to form voltron on the Hip Hop world. And a lot of you dudes probably weren’t even born then. So what the fuck are you really saying? So I’m just making it clear that if your going to rep that Lo shit and be apart of a fashion institution there’s a certain way to do it. Word, it rules and laws to this shit. This aint no fly by night shit where u wake up one morning and decide to rock Lo like Kayne West did. That shit there is a fairy tale a lot of heads are living. And anybody that you know whether it was your older brother, uncle, sister, father, mother or whoever, if you said they put you on to wearing Lo, most likely they were either influenced by what the Lo-Life’s did or they were affiliated with us. There were no crews, cliques or clans using the word Lo behind their names before 1988. So when you start placing the Lo behind your name, you start collecting, taking Lo Down flicks, using our slang, dressing how we dress, that’s a strong statement your making, but you have to have some substance behind all of that shit. And I’m not saying that we own Lo, but that’s our uniform right there and we built an entire fashion revolution on a brand that wasn’t even designed for inner city youth or people in general for that matter. We have created and founded a fashion institution, a way of life, a dress code, a motto, a phenomenon, a revolution with street credibility and we have hundreds of thousands of people and Official Lo heads around the globe that’s rolling with the 2 L’s. Everybody claim they have their own reasons for rocking Lo, collecting, Lo, selling Lo, renting Lo, auctioning Lo, but it all originated with the Polo Kings, Lo-Life’s. And anybody that’s trying to run with this culture and try to ignore the street element, that’s associated with being a Lo head it won’t be an easy ride. As far as EBay and all the other places that made Lo even more accessible they totally fucked the game up completely. I fucking hate EBay, I fucking Hate Marshals, TJ Max and especially that dude who is renting Lo to rappers and all of that. You are fucking the game up, kid. I don’t even know your fucking name, but I will bump heads with your ass one day. So to all of them cyber Lo heads, I want to meet you dudes. I want to see if you’re really real like ya’ll talk on the forums? Do ya’ll really own Lo collections? Do ya’ll rep this shit for real? Do you dudes know anything about Love & Loyalty? Are ya’ll thorough breads or just a bunch of dudes talking shit? Where’s your credibility? Who are you? Where are you from? What hood do you rep? What’s your history? Are you an innovator or follower? Because anybody in these streets that claim to be an Official Lo Head, I’ve met them. I’ve seen them in the flesh. I’ve seen them get their swagger on? I’ve seen them in action. And the majority of the dudes that I have come across for the most part are Official Heads. Until I meet you dudes or any other Founder meets you, you really don’t exist to us. You’re just another fucking clown on the internet popping shit. We call them type of dudes “Lo Groupies”. So if you’re not a fucking Cyber Lo head, get with the program. Let’s keep this 100% real and thorough.

What are your feelings about the cats reppin' LL that aren't really down with Lo Lifes? Is there a difference between a Lo-Life and a Polo collector? It was noted in "Million Man Rush" that I believe you quoted, "You think that just because you wear Polo, you a Lo-Life?!" Set the record straight for the public to know what the real deal is about this issue...

RACK-LO: It’s definitely a difference in being a Lo-Life as oppose to just being a person who rocks Lo or collects Lo. Truly, you can’t just rep LL and not truly be apart of it. I mean why would you want to do that? That’s like being a phony. I think it will be more official if you join our movement and fashion institution by way of an Original and Founding member putting you down or you join by signing up for membership. Those are really the only two ways you can rep Lo-Life’s. But as far as our music goes, our fans and supporters can rep that all day. It’s different for a person who is supporting us musically and artistically. We are real big on our fan clubs. I done heard of a lot of names that end with lo. Like D-Lo, Lo this, and lo that. Everybody wants to place Lo behind their names. And that’s the reason why I stated that line in the “Million Man Rush” song because it’s a lot of fake wannabee heads running around trying to rep our shit. They are trying to live our lifestyles. And that goes for a lot of these rappers out here claiming they been doing this. Nigga’s done got inspired by the originators of this shit and they fronting like their having an impact. You frauds aint fooling the real nigga’s. The street niggas. We know the truth and it will be told and sold to the people courtesy of the founders. All of ya’ll rappers out there like Kanye West need to fall back and stop fronting. Ya’ll look like style biters, swagger jackers and ya’ll look fucking stupid. The world and especially the Hip Hop community already know what time it is. This Kayne dude is running around wearing pink tight lo shirts, tight ass sweaters with tight ass jeans, looking like a fucking weirdo. That nigga must be dreaming because he definitely doesn’t know shit about this Lo culture and the streets of Brooklyn New York. That dude probably wouldn’t even step in Brooklyn, if he’s not with Jay-Z. The real Polo Kings rep this Lo movement from Marcus Garvey Village (Brownsville Brooklyn) and St. John’s and Utica (Crown Heights Brooklyn) to every corner of the planet. Didn’t you clowns read the Source Magazines articles, the Trace Magazine articles, the Stress Magazine articles, the Floss Magazine articles, the Forbes Magazine article and countless other articles? Did u clowns see me on national television with Bill Cosby reppin the Lo shit back in 1992? Did ya’ll read all of the News Papers me and my clique made headlines in? We are in the history books. We are in minds of the people, the real and official heads. They know the real and that’s one of the motivations that make me continue to carry this torch. You mention Lo as (Polo) in the Hip Hop Community and your next words have to be “Lo-Life’s” bottom line.

If you can name a favorite line that Ralph Lo' ever dropped what would it be?

RACK-LO: My favorite line would have to be the cross flag line. I mean even the police badge line was sick. Then you had the scribble line, the crizzy line, the yacht sailboat line, the list goes on. See I’m more of an antique type of Official Lo Head. I like the classic pieces. All of the other shit that’s not classic, Ralph-Lo (Ralph Lauren) can keep that shit.

Lo-Life’s derived from stick up kids to boosters... Its 2006 now, and Lo-Lifes are still making big moves. Let viewers know what some of those moves are...
RACK-LO: We are doing a lot of things and we have a lot on our plates. The first thing that everybody should know is that we are a multi-media company and artist. We are really trying to entertain people in all mediums and formats. From writing movie scripts, to writing books, to composing music, to producing music, to performing live, producing DVD documentary’s, booking our own tours, publicity, writing video treatments, filming our own music videos to creating the blue print to the Rack-Lo video game to eventually producing Rack-Lo and the Lo-Life clothing lines and so on and so on. We are doing it all. So we are just bringing the heat the way it should be done. People may not know this, but we are real savvy business men and we take our art and creativity very serious. I’m also writing for a few Hip Hop publications and I’m about to start my own radio show. “The Lo Down Show” is what it is called and you know what that’s going to be like. Straight classic material. None of that watered down shit that’s flooding the radio nowadays. I’m also about to launch the official online record label for this Lo shit for real. Because this shit is a strong movement and I feel like it’s needed. So yes, look for LoLife Records online soon. Yeah we derived from stick up kids and boosters, but we are so much more than that. That’s just the tip of the ice berg. That’s the beginning. That was then. Nigga’s done went to college, graduated, held supervision positions in corporate firms and all. We are street and business intellectuals. We are taking this shit from the streets to the suites. Oh, and also look out for the 1st edition of the exclusive Rack-Lo “Get Lo” custom designed sneakers straight out of Paris France. These joints are courtesy of Sneaker Addicts and Dr Medzoo.
